PACESETTER GALLERY SUMMER ART CAMP

Pictured left to right Visiting Gallery Artist Zoe Ishee with students Brooklyn, Aja, and Hadley!

The gallery art camp is in full swing and we are really enjoying working with these talented young artists! The week began with learning how to use professional drawing tools! The saying is true, you need the right tool for the job! Each student came in with excited to learn more about one of their favorite things, art!

The small group camp allowed for each student to receive instruction to further their art skills starting where they are.  Drawing still life and applying shading using the value scale were a big focus.

Each week we have a Pacesetter Artist visit our campers, sharing their work currently on exhibit, and talk about their art journey and how they learned to draw.

This week Zoe Ishee joined us at the gallery, the campers had a great time talking with Zoe and she gave a GREAT TUTORIAL ON DRAWING AN EXPRESSIVE EYE, WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW!  Friday the students finished their final still life drawing and had a lesson on drawing and shading the face.

Call the gallery to register for classes which will be held Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. through June and July. The course is $120.00 which includes materials. Call Keri at 601-488-0345 for more information and to register!
