Bailey Hughes is a visual artist living in Flowood, Mississippi. Bailey attended Belhaven University where she graduated with a BFA in Visual Art. She creates bold, colorful compositions, working primarily with drawing and collage. Incorporating found materials in a deliberate, thoughtful way gives Bailey's work a dash of excitement and draws the viewer into distinct but harmonious areas within her work. She opens the viewers mind to see beauty in the ordinary as she seeks to shine light on and elevate the human experience. The balance of positive and negative, shape, texture and color draws the viewer in to experience the intricate details that communicate boldly from both up close and far away. Bailey's work is a relational experience in which the work reveals itself to the viewer as more complex over time. It is Bailey Hughes' goal as an artist to be a seer, experiencer and communicator of truth.

Bailey recently completed a 2022 solo show at the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center at Belhaven University.
