Feixue Yang

Feixue Yang is a prolific watercolor artist who began her watercolor experimentation creating detailed realism.  Her current work has a looser painterly feel as she responds to light and the feeling of the day. Feixue enjoys working in plein air around the central Mississippi area.  She recently won second place in the 1st Annual Pacesetter Plein Air Competition, Best of Show in En Plein Air Painting Competition LeFleur's Bluff State Park 2023 and Best of Show Pacesetter Renaissance at Colony Park Plein Air Competition. Feixue has been involved in the art community as a past member of the Mississippi Artists' Guild.

The artist has sold her art online and to friends previously and currently in Pacesetter Gallery. A life long learner, Feixue continues to take lessons in watercolor and experiment with medium. Her work varies in subject matter as she takes on new challenges including still life, animals, portraiture, and landscapes. In 2023, her work was shown at the Lucie Parker Gallery small group Watercolor Exhibition at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. The award-winning plein air artist can be found across Mississippi painting outdoors.
