When I was very young, (and that's been a long time ago), we would visit my father's mother and father at a small community called Clyde, MS. On the road to their house was a little old store. I've tried to paint it and renamed it Punkin's Eat-N-Get Gas.


Bobby Walters

Bobby Walters began painting around the age of fifteen which he credits to his mother's encouragement. At seventeen, she enrolled him in a class by Professor Charles Ambrose from The University of Southern Mississippi. The class met Monday nights during the school year and he attended for two years. After high school graduation, he continued university classes from the professor with a focus on watercolor.  He has a great love of the medium, always looking to add new techniques and often experiments with mixing new mediums to enhance his work. Bobby carries on the family tradition of encouraging others. He shares his knowledge of watercolor through South Mississippi Art Association workshops. He has a deep love of painting, and sets aside time daily to go to his studio cabin. The cabin studio sits deep in the woods on the banks of the Black Creek

diligently guarded by The Blues Brothers, Elwood and Jake. The cabin is filled with his sculptures, paintings, unique and quirky antiques and collectibles and has . Bobby's finds humor in the world and is always quick to tell a colorful story. You see this in his work through title and subject matter.
