Every evening, one by one, the birds fly to their perch, as if they are getting ready to hold a council. You have the top birds, who ruffle their feathers and sit at the very top of the weathered tree. The older and younger birds disperse amongst the bottom tiers of the tree. I often wonder what sort of secret world the birds have. The color I have chosen for this piece portrays the wonderment and mysticism of the mighty bird council.
