Join us for our Pacesetter Summer Camp! Each week-long camp meets from 12 PM-2 PM Monday through Friday and includes sketchbook and a professional artist's drawing kit. During the 10 hours of instruction we will grow our skills is drawing from life, shading, and many advanced techniques that will grow the budding artist. This class will be great to increase comfort in the gallery setting and understand more about how a gallery works. We will discuss what a professional gallery is looking for in artists, gallery etiquette, how to write a personal biography as an artist. We will regularly reference the artwork on the gallery walls to practice art criticism and aesthetics discussions throughout the class. This camp is for 8th-12th graders who love to draw and want grow their skills. Each week, we will have one of the Pacesetter Gallery artists come in and guest teach some of their skills! The class is taught by Keri Davis, certified art teacher, artist and owner of Pacesetter Gallery.
